Statements of Faith
Who are we?
We are fallen people, undeserving of His love and forgiveness. But by the Grace of Jesus Christ we are a redeemed people, covered in grace, set apart for His glory and seeking to serve Him in all that we do!
Our Vision as a church is simple yet comprehensive:
“One Mission, Every Member”
We exist to serve the Lord. That is our One Mission. And it is a mission that Jesus has called each and every one of us to engage! We strive towards that vision with our mission:
“To reach out in love, so that Temple Baptist Church will become a committed body of believers, and in order that a lost and dying world might encounter the Lord Jesus Christ; to grow in Christ-likeness by engaging in diverse ministries and encouraging participation throughout the church family for the singular purpose of bringing Glory to the Lord God!”
We affirm to the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message as a confession, not a creed; and we are associated with the Cooke County Baptist Association, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Southern Baptist Convention in fellowship and ministry. Temple is a congregational lead church.
While these statements tell you a little about us, the best way to learn about us is to meet us! We hope you will join with us in worship, where you’ll learn more about us… and more importantly more about the loving Savior who we serve!
