There are many examples in the Bible of devout men and women who served God well into their old age…Moses, Caleb, Joshua, Anna, John the Apostle, and Paul just to name a few. God never commands us to quit working and sit in our easy chair. Our senior adults are among the most active members of our church!
There are many opportunities at Temple Baptist Church for senior adults to serve God both in and outside of the church. Worship teams lead weekly services at two area convalescent homes and sponsor monthly shopping excursions for the residents. Not only does our bus ministry make it possible for seniors without transportation to attend church, most of the bus ministry team is made up of senior adults!
Breakfast and Bible is the second Monday of every month. It is a time for Bible study and fellowship, as well as talks on topics that interest seniors.
Opportunities for ministry and fellowship are planned year-round by the Senior Adult Advisory Council.
